Here are the general guidelines to finding the best class for your swimmer:
- Parent & Me: For little swimmers 6 months to 30 months of age.
- Level 1: For children with little to no swim experience. Can your child swim without floatation and breath independently as needed? If no, Level 1 is for you! If yes, Level 2 might be perfect.
- Level 2: For children who can swim short distances on their own, but don’t don’t utilize formal swimming skills. Can your child swim freestyle and backstroke? If no, this level is for you! If yes, check out Level 3!
- Level 3: For children who understand basic swimming skills, but need to develop more advanced technique. Can your child swim butterfly and breaststroke? If no, this Level is perfect for you! If yes, and you’re looking for more advanced instruction yet, please reach out to us at Team@theswimrevolution.com. We offer a Level 4 for TSR Level 3 graduates that might be perfect for you.
What if my child is scared of the water?
Our program and coaching is designed around building your child’s aquatic confidence over time. All children gain comfort at different speeds, but with positive encouragement from family and our dedicated coaching staff you can be assured that your child will learn to love the water.
How long will it take for my child to learn to swim?
Think about any life skill. Swimming is just the same. Children learn at different speeds. Without knowing your child (yet) it would be impossible for us to give you an accurate estimate. Once we get to know your child better, we will be more than happy to walk you through the process!
What is your availability for classes?
Our complete, live and up-to-date schedule is open for you to view in its entirety. Please pick a class level that best suits your child and follow the links to the schedule. From there you will find it easy to register for the class that works best with your schedule.
How do I pay for lessons?
1) Automatic debit from a checking or savings account. 2) Automatic debit from a credit or debit card. Members will have their tuition automatically debited on the 1st day of each month for the upcoming months swim lessons. For example – Novembers tuition will be debited on November 1st.
How much do swim lessons cost per month?
As a general rule of thumb, buddy swim lessons for Levels 1, 2 & 3 are $140, Swim Team is $50 and the Parent & Me class is $100. Some months get weird and you may have 5 calendar lessons, when that happens we simply prorate your tuition for the additional class. We will also prorate your tuition down for any holiday break that takes you under 4 classes in that calendar month.
What does my child need to be prepared for his or her lessons?
A smile, swimsuit, towel, swim cap & goggles. If your child isn’t quite through the potty training process – please add a swim diaper to the must have items for swim class. No one wins when an accident happens in the pool!
How many other kids are in a group class?
At The Swim Revolution, we teach our Level 1, 2 & 3 classes with a “buddy swim” style. Feel confident your child is getting maximal instructor focus and swim time with only 2 children per class, ever. Buddy swim lessons foster friendships outside the pool and a comfortable competitive environment that will push your child further, faster.
How do I keep track of my child's progress?
You’re going to love keeping track of your child’s progress by following along on your child’s swim skill progress sheet! We love our swim families to be part of the process and to do that we need you to be informed on where your child is in their skill development. At the end of each class we set aside 5 minutes to highlight their progress with them and you! Feel free to ask questions. The more you know, the more you can work on at home and the faster your child will progress in their lessons.
How long are the classes?
Please be prepared to be at the pool for 30-35 minutes. We recommend arriving to the pool 5 minutes early to provide for changing time and to get ready to jump in the water. The in-water portion of the lesson will last for 25 minutes, followed by 5 minutes at the end of class to review and add to progress charts.
What if my child missed a class – can we make it up?
Of course you can! We try to make life at The Swim Revolution as simple as possible. If you miss a class for any reason, just let us know before the lesson and you’ll be eligible for a make-up swim lesson! The more notice you can provide us, the better – we use open class times to make up lessons – when you’re out, we will fill your class with another student that needs a make-up class. There is a limit of 12 make-up lessons per calendar year while enrolled at The Swim Revolution.
Do you offer refunds, credits or transfers at The Swim Revolution?
Due to operational costs, no refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued at The Swim Revolution.
Why do you charge, in advance, the prorated amount for lessons when I first sign up?
Because our schedule can fill up fast, we cannot reserve a spot without without payment. For your benefit and scheduling purposes, we cannot allow members to hold spots without payment.
How warm is the pool?
Water temperature is a big part of your child’s comfort in the water – we keep the pool at 90 degrees to facilitate the optimal learning experience for your child.
Why do we need to give 30 days notice before withdrawing from a class?
There are two reasons. First, due to the popularity of our program, there tends to be a long waitlist with swimmers waiting to fill an open spot. A 30 day notice allows us to give them ample notice to adjust their schedule and, often, cancel swim lessons with another swim lesson company so they can start with The Swim Revolution. Second,a 30 day notice allows us time to determine our staffing needs, supplies and make other operational adjustments.
